Ground floor - Children's Museum
The Children's Museum will close on August 21st, as we are building brand-new experiences for you.
Look forward to exploring a Stone Age forest, taking a magical visit to the world of the gods, a sparkling ballroom, a sunny campsite, a giant teapot you can hide inside, and much more. Our highly cherished medieval kitchen and castle, along with other children's favorites, are getting a major overhaul. Our Viking ship will be launched so you can ride a stormy sea completely without getting wet socks, and the horse is getting a new friend for a long life with children in the saddle. The new Children's Museum opens on February 11th, 2027.

The Children's Museum is for all ages and temperaments. Adults can bring a cup of coffee into the Children's Museum. We have facilities for changing and nursing the very young guests. And you can enjoy your packed lunch in our dining area or buy lunch and cake in our café. Please note! We are renovating to make way for a new café, opening in mid-March. “Can I tell you a secret?”
There are only very few things that the Egtved Girl has left behind. A bit of skin, hair, clothing, a small amount of brain tissue, and then an imprint of her delicate body. But who was she, and what did she look like? Meet the Egtved Girl's avatar in the exhibition about Denmark's Ancient Times.
